One of the editors I was working with once asked me what I meant by "living in the moment". Great question! His point was that everyone says that. It had become a cliche.
My response:
"Living in the moment" has been praised by one and many, but mastered by very few, if any.
Living in the moment means forgiving all that have hurt you in any way and forgiving yourself, too, for shortcomings (trusting that others will forgive you, too).
Living in the moment means you feel that the clock has sotpped an the moment feels like eternity.
Living in the moment means feeling the present moment to be the most magical, precious moment that ever was or will be.
Living in the moment means that if death struck you in that moment you'd say - take me, I am ready to go.
Living in the moment means realising that life is a short passage to eternity, and when all is said and done, it is what happens in these many "living in the moments" that will matter.
Yes, living in the moment has become a cliche. Yet it remains mastered by very few, if any!
