When you buy The Power of Giving, you automatically make a small donation to charities.

Azim and I decided that in the spirit of giving, all author royalties from The Power of Giving will go to non-profits.

Our goal is to raise $500,000 – which means we have to sell an awful lot of books. We hope if you're reading this blog that you will help.

We estimate we will be able to donate approximately one dollar per book sold, but that varies by a few cents, because different retailers price the book differently.

We have established a “donor advised fund” with the well respected Tides Canada Foundation. This means Tides will manage the funds raised from author royalties.

And Azim and I will choose where the donations should go. Please note: our donations will not be restricted to Canada. We also donated the copyright for The Power of Giving to Tides.

We expect that we will share the money in a number of categories from children's causes, to health care, the arts, the environment, and international development. I hope that you will consider telling your friends about this book.
