A Bias for Action with Involvement

Yesterday evening I was bombarded with so many decisions to make. Some of these decisions required discussion. My temptation was to leave them till the next day.

However, I decided to tackle them and respond to most of them with an opportunity for my colleagues to give further input. There were two items which I left a window open to follow up next day. I woke up very early this morning and had a clear answer for the remaining two.

I learned that if you attend to things you pave the way to a solution. I believe my subconscious mind went to work last night.

All in all, I kept in mind the respect of my colleagues and the integrity of collaboration with them by allowing them to contribute to my recommendations or defer.

I have learned for solutions to be sustainable, involvement and collaboration is vital.

How about you? Do you have a bias for action? Do you involve your team in these decisions?
