Azim Jamal is a leading international inspirational speaker and a national bestselling author. He was born in Tanzania and educated in Kenya, the U.K., and Canada.
Azim holds three professional accounting and financial qualifications, including a CGA and CFP, and has been a senior partner in an accounting firm for over 15 years. He made his career switch from “accounting for business” to “accounting for life” during a soul-stirring experience while volunteering in the developing world, and he vowed to make a difference to people in that part of the world with his message and through his success.
Since then, Azim has become a sought-after speaker, dynamic, thought-provoking, and inspiring–a visionary with his feet on the ground. Harvey McKinnon, CFRE, is recognized as one of North America's leading fundraising experts. He is an inspiring speaker, trainer, and writer, who has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for nonprofits worldwide.
He is author of the fundraising bestseller Hidden Gold (Bonus Books) and the audio CD How Today’s Rich Give (Jossey-Bass). He has written for numerous publications, including the Globe & Mail, Vancouver Sun, and Utne.com. He is a former panelist on CBC Radio’s Almanac Show and has done extensive media interviews on a variety of subjects.
Harvey has taught fundraising to nonprofits in North America, Australia, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He has also produced two training videos and a six-part TV series on fundraising, and is a regular speaker at major fundraising conferences.
